D-house urban laboratory presents D-refashion lab the new upcycling project that proposes to intervene on overstock through the creative application of the most advanced technologies
In June, D-house will launch D-refashion lab which aims to revisit unsold garments through the creative application of the most advanced technologies to give them a second life.
The project was born from an idea of Loreto di Rienzo – director of D-house urban laboratory – and Stefano Micelli – Professor of Economics and Business Management at the Ca’Foscari University of Venice – and with Marina Spadafora as sustainability advisor.
Through D-house technologies and the collaboration of fashion designers, interior designers, artists and creatives, the company offers 4 different types of “customization packages” and, thanks to the graphic team, the D-refashion lab project offers the possibility to see, in digital preview, the different customization possibilities. This method allows to reduce material waste and to set up a more conscious production line, to contribute to a different perception of technological and artisanal work and to suggest new consumption models.
The kick off of the D-refashion lab project will be on June 24th in the D-house urban laboratory in Milan. During the event, the visitor will experience the application possibilities of Dyloan technologies to respond to the problem of unsold stock.
